What We Believe

The easiest thing for most folks to focus on with a church like C3Metro is our style. But style is really not all that important; what is important is what we value. Here's a rundown of some of our basic beliefs:

  • Jesus, his Son, came, died and now lives to connect us to His love;

Fun - This might sound like a strange value coming from a church, but we think it's important to have fun. Although we take God seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously. At C3Metro we don't think that fun = sin, so we don't wear long faces. Some people mistake this for irreverence, but they don't usually hang around with us for very long.

Relevant - We have seen and been a part of a 'sub-culture' some call church that spoke with a language most people who didn't go to church couldn't understand. We speak normally. It's not about a bunch of rules; it's about freedom to do the things we were born to do in the area where we fit. There's way more life in that. Our church doesn't control us, but encourages us to have fun and find the stuff we love and can be passionate about. It's about having more life while we're living...life to the fullest!

Powerful - Most of all we love God, and amazingly, He loves us - wildly, passionately, deeply. So we live with a purpose and a destiny, pushing onward, encouraging each other toward whatever dreams, talents, and gifts God has placed in us. It's about helping each other. Launching people into their great future...life to the fullest!

What church is really about.

People are what church is really all about. It has never been about a building. It's not about the programs, and it's not about the preaching. It's not about the music or how we dress on the outside to hide what might some days be broken on the inside. It's just about people. It's about the vision and dreams we live, and the love we give. It always has been, and it always will be.

We believe that there is a "hospitality hole" in this city, which historically was meant to be a supply station for those pioneers on an adventure to seek a fortune and a new future. We want to fill that hole with real hospitality. The type of hospitality Jesus created, where everyone feels welcome, healing happens, party happens, hope happens.
